A “Deep-V-Neck” style neckline is a highly flattering style that accentuates the bust line, or creates a dynamic design detail along the décolletage which finishes just above the navel. Typically, a “Deep V-Neck style neckline is held in the middle with a sheer or transparent fabric to help provide stability, while creating the elegant and dramatic look. -

An Illusion or Sheer Illusion Neckline: This is where a sheer fabric is used to finish the dress with a higher neckline, and often will give the “illusion” of being non-existent (hence the name “Sheer Illusion Neckline”). On this “illusion” neckline, lace details or beading can be placed amount the bodice, sometimes seeming to “float” on the skin because of it’s “sheer illusion” quality. A Halter-neck Neckline: A “Halter-neck” style neckline is usually without sleeves and a “halter” style strap circles around the neck. This look emphasizes your arms and shoulders. The effect is truly glamorous, highly reminiscent of “Hollywood” red-carpet glamour. A Bateau style neckline: This kind of neckline is usually a solid panel that curves gently between two points of the shoulders and scoops high across the neckline. -

An off the shoulder style neckline can also be called a “Boatneck” or “Bateau” style neckline. Characterized by the description itself, it refers to straps that placed off the shoulder, and around the top part of the arms. Definitely one of the most romantic of the necklines we use! The horizontal line creates a very feminine look and emphasizes the shoulders even more beautifully. -

A strapless neckline typically allows the top of a woman’s shoulders, neck, and just below the neckline (décolletage) to be fully exposed without any straps or support.
